Home Sweet Home (with Vixen)

Today I was inspired by a sketch challenge on Creative Scrappers! It's a great one photo sketch that could be used in so many different ways.

Here's the sketch. The strips could be applied as ribbon, washi tape, stickers, or border strips of paper. It's so versatile, that I'm sure I'll use it again for other layouts.

Here's my layout:
Supplies used: things on top of my desk! cs: Studio Calico, DCWV. pp: Fancy Pants Summer's End. stickers: Fancy Pants, simple stories, AC. transparency; Fancy Pants. bling: Queen & Co. ink: Quick Quotes, pen: Sharpie. adhesive: foam squares, 3M.

I hope you get to try this sketch out! It makes the layout come together quickly!

Happy Halloween ~ Book of Life inspired

Red Carpet Studio has a inspiration challenge posted that I found quite challenging, but has a lot of ways it can go! The Book of Life poster is colorful and has many themes to choose from. In the title, the flaming heart reminded me of rock and roll. My boyfriend and I dressed as 80's rockers for Halloween this past October. I think it was a perfect fit for this challenge!

Here's the poster:
RCS #88: The Book of Life

and my layout:

Supplies used: pp: Recollections, brads and die cuts: Hot Off the Press, stickers: Adorn It, DCWV, stone: Glitz.MME.

I had a lot of fun with this, and I hope you try it, too!

Family, Food & Fun

Scrap Our Stash is having a recipe challenge this month using the word TWINE. At least one item that starts with each letter. I got adventurous and elected to make a 12x12 pocket page--my first! I think my SN@P album style is growing!

Here my list of ingredients:
T: Tree,  transparency, tag
W: washi tape, wood vaneer
I: inking is on paper edges of 2 left pictures
N: number brads and button
E: embossing (dry) on food & fun card

Here's my layout:

Thanks for stopping by! I feel like I'm on a roll so far this month!

Unbroken (love)

2015 is already off to a great start! I got my challenge mojo back! Today I felt inspired by a sketch challenge on Creative Scrappers. My boyfriend and I just took a selfie at the movies...I only felt okay with doing this since we were the first ones in the theater. I saw the sketch and immediately plugged in that photo and some new embellishments I knew were in my stash. I selected embellishments with stars, which also was inspired by a challenge on Red Carpet Studio! Love it when it comes together like that! The hardest part was picking what paper I was going to use. I haven't worked on 12x12 in 3-4 months!

Here's the sketch:

and my layout:

Supplies: pp: Hot Off the Press, Recollections, Bella Blvd. Inking: Colorsnap chalk ink. letter stickers: Adorn It, Embellishment stickers: EK Success. misc: tags, die cut. Stamp: Fiskars, Whispers ink. pen: Slick writer.

I had so much fun putting this together. I hope everyone has a very creative new year!

The Best Day Ever

The mini albums continue for me! I fell in love with the Sn@p albums! So, today to start the year off right I decided to complete a challenge found on my blog list. On Rochelle Spears, she has a tic tac toe challenge. I chose to complete the bottom row: border punch, journal card and gold.

Here's my completed page from my mini album:

Simple and Fun!
