Frozen Heather--Icy

Frozen Heather is a color combination posted as a challenge on Color Me Scrappy! I think they are great colors to use on any of your "icy" layouts! I was recently in Sioux Falls, SD for work, and I visited the Falls Park and snapped some photos of the falls frozen over. This picture looks as icy as it felt! It was in the -20 degree range with the wind factor for most of the week. Luckily, this Las Vegas girl won't need to go back there until the spring! I don't think I will complain about the 30's as our winter lows for a while.

Here's my result:

If you look to the right side of the layout, you will see a light blue spray mist/masking pattern. I used a laser cut paper from Studio Calico as a mask. I love the subtle icy hue. The paper is orange, a color that I rarely use on layouts, so I'm glad I found a great use for it!

I didn't take a close up of the "C" in the title, but I thought it was funny. The printed map on the letter shows "Dakota"!
